And the streets are crumbling.

"Hypochondriasis (or hypochondria, sometimes referred to as health phobia) refers to an excessive preoccupation or worry about having a serious illness. Often, hypochondria persists even after a physician has evaluated a person and reassured him/her that his/her concerns about symptoms do not have an underlying medical basis or, if there is a medical illness, the concerns are far in excess of what is appropriate for the level of disease."
After reading an article on MRSA/staph infections yesterday, I was convinced I have one.
Then I bought a metal padlock I need for my locker at work and the packaging had a hidden sticker on the back that said "may contain chemicals known to cause cancer".
So now I'm convinced I have cancer. (It also suggested I "wash my hands after each use"... since when is cancer cured or prevented by simply washing one's hands?).
You know that episode of The Simpsons when Mr. Burns goes to a doctor and asks him to check him for every disease listed on the chart he had posted on the wall? I'm thinking I want to do that someday. Just to be safe.
I'm really not feeling like myself this week.

Think positive! What about the Simpsons episode where they think there is an alien in the forrest and it is really Mr. Burns glowing?
Feel better, darling!
