First things first. No, I didn't watch the Grammy awards. I did, however, watch the reruns of the red carpet arrivals coverage. Alice Cooper, (childhood hero), randomly showed up. That was exciting :)
Secondly...
Those so called "Fashion Police" people never know what they're talking about. You know how it goes. They rave about the most boring and ugliest stuff and totally trash the truly stylish looks. I'm not ganna do a whole song and dance about it but I *do* think it's kind of annoying and hypocritical to call what Lady Gaga wears "a work of art" and then go and laugh and make fun of Imogen Heap's creative and unique getup a mere five seconds later. (Imogen and others, like Bjork, have been "shocking" people with their outfits for YEARS before Gaga... just because their music doesn't sound like a Britney song, they get looked down on? Bullshit).
My point is: people know nothing. But whatever.
Lastly, I'm ganna go on the record and say that I adored Adam Lambert's outfit the most. The ribbon bowtie is very 'kawaii', the jacket is gorgeous, and his shoes are awesomely amazing. Furthermore, I love the inky black hair with matching nail polish and I'm jealous of how he always has a flawless eye-makeup job.
I wish the mainstream media would stop being such assholes to him and just let him be.
I've been trying to find a rumoured Celldweller remix of one of his songs, to no avail. Anyone who can tell me where to find it, (I know it exists! I remember Klayton mentioning it way back before I even knew who Lambert was), please tell me!!!!

AMEN! I'm so sick of all the lady gaga hype! Bjork has been wearing shit like that for YEARS, and she also has the unique music to back it up- unlike gaga, who to me just sounds like christina aguilera! People are so easy swayed by "image". Grr. Yes, i don't see why Imogen Heap's outfit is so far removed from Gaga's. i guess it's just more "acceptable" to think gaga is cool, because she's more mainstream and popular. Yup, People are so SHALLOW.

Men's fashion is pretty boring most of the time. That is both bad and good. I like Adam Lambert's suit because I've never seen one like that. He's trying new things, which is more choices. It's good and bad to have choices. But mostly good.

jorg wobblington lopez: I agree. On the one hand, it's nice that most stuff out there IS boring because when someone decides to be truly diferent and "outside the box", it makes the effect all the more thrilling. I love Adam's style. I hope he hires me to design for him one day. And yes, for the most part it's good to offer choices to doods like him. But not to annoying doods. They don't deserve to be cool. HAHAHA ;)
