Battle for the Cupcakes.

2009 = my year for music. ALL of my favourite bands (well, except for one) are having new albums out this year: Kill Hannah, IAMX, My Chem, AFI, and Placeboooooo. I'm so in love with the new single, Battle for the Sun. It kind of rules. Listened to it all last night. I wouldn't be such a Placebo nerd if it hadn't been for one of my best friends introducing me to them in high school. I haven't seen or spoken to her in ages. (She lives in England and it's hard keeping in touch as she doesn't own a computer/have regular access to a good phone). So this post is dedicated to her... wherever she is right now. Hope she's loving the new Placebo song, too. I hope to see them live again sometime. And if I ever meet them again I have to try my hardest not to fangirl out in the most shameful of ways in front of Brian Molko. I actually said to him "OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO DIE." I'm such a loser. But he was cool about it and even begged me not to die. And then I kinda died inside, anyway, 'cause I mean... come ON.

So this tuesday was st. patrick's day and I didn't even know until the day was halfway over. I didn't wear green. I don't think I even OWN any green clothing. Green is just not my colour. At least not for clothes. (My car is green... but that wasn't my choice). I got to see another one of my best friends whom I hadn't seen in almost a year I think. We did some shopping and late night cupcake baking at her house. We used brownie mix instead of cake mix and we made homemade chocolate frosting with real honey. Know what else is made of honey? Mead. Medieval mead!! But it tasted more like cough syrup to me, haha.

Today I woke up really late 'cause I've been uber tired from having insomnia for two weeks. I managed to whip up a cute little bag, though, using cupcake printed fabric and lined with pink polka dot fabric. I think I'll use it to pack my lunch in for work.

Not that I wanna go in to work anytime soon or anything...

ugh.

These guys are the sweetest of sweethearts.
