For anyone who's into retro/vintage/pin-up style:
Harley-Davidson did a pretty neat thing for Veteran's Day. They got model Marisa Miller to do a shoot dressed as a WWII era pin up chick and made the photos into postcards to send off to troops overseas.
They even edited them to make them look all 'old-timey' and vintage.
I think they look really cool.
Almost authentic 1940's looking, no?? Except for the bikes, of course, haha.
Today was such a day of 'time travel'. In school, I got to see AUTHENTIC turn-of-the-century, (I'm talking as far as 1891), ultimate vintage garments that were donated to the fashion program's costume collection. I wasn't allowed to handle them, as most of them were disintegrating before our eyes, but I did get close enough to admire them. The workmanship on these things was insane.
I really wish I had access to a time machine...
Oooh, the periods I'd travel to. The things I'd see...
The things I'd WEAR.
Can't think of anything more fun.

I would wear the most ridulous fancy dresses you could imagine. I would love to go back in time maybe just for one night.
