this world is a cruel place, and we're here only to lose.

Some people worship gods and saints.

Me?

I worship rock stars.

Last week I saw H.I.M. at the House of Blues. Ville Valo is Saint Valentine and this show was nothing short of a religious experience.

I would give anything to go back and relive that night. To escape back to that alternate universe that was created, when the only sound I heard was his voice, getting ingrained deep into my head, deafening and epic.

The only time I'm ever truly happy is when I get lost in music. I've listened to 'Screamworks' pretty much every single day since I bought it. You'd think I'd be sick of it by now...

These photos are stills from an OLD favourite... a true H.I.M. classic, "Join Me (in death)".

watch it HERE

How many of your favourite bands have you seen live?? Was it a million times better than hearing the c.d.??

*heres hoping I get to see Saint Valentine again one day*

Oh i LOOOOVE being able to see musicians live! I've seen Mike Patton a few times now, and he was AWESOME.very exciting for little me :)
There have been times when I've seen bands I'm not actually that into, and it's still fun, because of the energy of the live music, and the excitement of the audience..it's a great atmosphere!
I'm glad you had a great time!!! I bet there are many more to come :)

yeah I bet seeing Patton was AWESOME for you!! :D See, I'm kind of weird about seeing live shows. Seeing the band in real life/hearing the music uber loud in my ears is great, but I don't like being in such close proximity to so many PEOPLE!! It freaks me out!! Like.. eek!! Of course, it doesn't help that I had a drunk dood practically fall on me at a show once. That just makes my concert-going anxiety worse!!

Seeing him live was amazing! His vocice is like nothing else.

Two years ago I got to see HIM and My Chemical Romance at the same show. Um yeah it was like the best concert of my LIFE!

Oh i get that too. I definitely have to be in the right mood to contend with crowds! I got in a fight with a girl years ago :S I'm probably a bit more mellow these days ( a TIIIIINY bit, haha) so hopefully that won't happen again!

Ginny- yay! I get excited when other people dig him :D
