It's not a Death Wish. It's a fucking Fashion Statement.

Already I've fallen behind on posting! I've disproved my mother's New Year's theory! Oh well. Oh and update on the Marie Antoinette movie: I found a copy of it at Half Price books a couple days ago and I've been watching it almost every night :) Love it love it love it. Just... love it.

I love the female fashions of that time period... but the men's fashions kinda make me cringe.

I prefer guys' modern style... especially the adventurous kind. So tonight I'm writing another Anarchic Fashionista - type entry. Because boys should be praised when they dress well so they can be motivated to do it more often ;P

Male Fashionista I shall be talking about today is the frontman for the poppy punk band The Matches, Shawn Harris. Now, I don't claim to be their number one fan, or to know everything about this guy or this band and their history. (I love their last album, though). But from my understanding, after viewing many old and new videos of theirs is that Mr. Harris is quite the fashion risk-taker.

He's tried everything from a very Punk look:




... to a more refined casual look with fabulous detail:

such as a classic striped blazer.


And even a polka dot print button down shirt.


And what's this? A touch of bright red to offset an all white outfit?? (the socks):



Shawn Harris definitely gains a place in the Ella Anarchy Stylish Musicians Hall of Fame.
